The short version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions fund the publication. We don't run ads. We don't take sponsorships. We don't publish paid guest posts.
The full version
Lemwell Fincher participates in affiliate marketing programs with software vendors covered in our editorial. These are called Partner links on this site, and every one carries a visible "Partner" pill and the rel="sponsored" attribute. When you click a Partner link and complete a qualifying purchase on the destination site, we receive a commission from the vendor.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- We only include a Partner link when the tool is genuinely relevant to the article's thesis. If an article is about a problem a tool solves, we may link the tool. If it isn't, we don't.
- Comparison and ranking posts are ranked on merit. The tool with the highest commission rate is NOT automatically the recommended choice. Where our top pick differs from the highest-commission option, we say so.
- We never fabricate case studies, test results, or testimonials. If an article says "we tested" or "we interviewed," we did.
- We never use false urgency, invented discount percentages, or scarcity language unless an offer is genuinely time-limited.
- We do not accept payment for inclusion. Being covered by Kaniship cannot be bought.
The FTC and global disclosure compliance
This disclosure is written to comply with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 ("Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising"), the UK Advertising Standards Authority's guidance on affiliate marketing, and comparable disclosure rules in the EU, Canada, and Australia. The "Partner" pill next to every affiliate link is the per-link disclosure these frameworks require.
